ATLANTIC SOUL MACHINE ARE ALIVE AND GIGGING |
Making their debut in Dulwich, The 8 pieces Atlantic Soul Machine bring the best of Soul, Blues and Motown to the Real Music Club @ Dulwich Hamlet.
Formed 17 years ago by famed trombonist Pete “The Slide” Lamont, ASM quickly became recognised as the best band in their field, most notably by Blues & Rhythm magazine who called them “The UK’s leading soul band”.
In a distinguished international career, ASM have played and recorded with Memphis Soul legend Rufus Thomas, Fred Wesley, James Brown horns, The JB’s, as well as Lionel Ritchie and the legendary Wilson Picket.
Sir Paul McCartney booked the band for his birthday party, and ASM went on to record the acclaimed “Black, White & Blue” album on Ozit records which picked up plays on Jazz FM, Radio 2 and regional FM radio.
Featuring the former Blues Flames/Desmond Dekker, trumpet player Eddie “Tan
tan” Thornton, and inspirational vocals of Rose Hylton, plus the best
horn section in the business, ASM are simply the best!!!
