" ... they are on the cutting edge of the British blues movement, These guys don't play or sound like any other band I've seen before, (and believe me; I've seen quite a few). Long may they continue to be so inventive with their writing and arranging."

Blues Move's CD, 'Beat n' Trak', is number 4 in the 'Blues Matters! mail order chart.

Blues Move draw on their vast combined experience to give you cutting edge blues, grooves with an intensity to make you move, and a night you won't forget.

Blues Move was born in September 1999 from a collaboration between Howard Smith and what was then the Mick Pini Band. Howard Smith plays and sings from the heart with a charismatic passion you may remember from his years fronting the now defunct Razors. By joining forces with Julian Grudgings (keyboards), Graham Lacey (bass) and Mike Hellier (drums) to form BluesMove - a totally new and exciting blues experience was created.

The band released "First Cut", an independently released demo five track CD in December 1999 to critical acclaim. Alan Pearce from Blues Matters! described the last track from this CD as the "... most excellent 'Slow Train' that just won't let you go. A gentle but edgy chord takes you in with Howard Smith's vocal taking its time and riding the waves of the guitar as the rest of the band join the track and grind out a supper groove with slide featured throughout, a song you won't forget easily. Got to be a live favouite!"

Howards' vocals , guitar and songwriting continue to scale new heights and the band as a tight unit continues to develop its own very special chemistry.

"It is clear to see why Blues Move is getting booked all over the country. If you get the chance do not miss their show." - Blues Matters!
