COLIN
JOHN is a dynamic Memphis guitarist and singer based in London who plays a distinctly
modern blend of blues, soul, and funky rock and roll.
Colin, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, spent his musical youth in Memphis as a member of the house band at B.B. King's on Beale Street. A chance meeting with some British fans saw him relocate to Richmond, Surrey, U.K. for 10 years, where he further developed his talents with members of Eric Clapton's band, as well as forming his own group, The Colin John Band, whom today enjoy a successful European career. Colin has recently returned to the United States to concentrate on turning blues fans here onto his formidable talents as a guitarist, singer, songwriter, and performer.
Colin has a fabulous NEW ACOUSTIC ALBUM called "Acousticland Lady" with special guest Michael Hill - read the review in the Feb 2004 Playlist and an interview in a Cambridge, Ohio, magazine which we have put on the Reviews section.
