Special Guests: FUNKEE CLAWED

With a colourful 39 year history and the recent release of one “Diamonds & Coal” - one of their very best albums - the revitalised Man band from Wales, play a special warm up gig for their Cambridge Rock Festival appearance.
Formed in 1968 when the subtle pop harmonies of the Bystanders gave way to the Psychedelic rock of Man, Man have boasted the likes of Deke Leonard, Terry Williams, Micky Jones and Quicksilver’s John Cippolina in an ever changing musical family. The current line-p features veteran bass player/raconteur Martin Ace, with his son Josh Ace and George Jones (Micky Jones’s son) on guitars. Former Rockpile/Asia drummer Bob Richard in turn celebrates 10 years with the band.
Best known for their West coast influenced psychedelic rock and such anthems as “Bananas” and “C’Mon”, and chart albums such as “Rhinos, Winos & Lunatics” and “Back into the Future”, Man remain a magnificent guitar driven creative force.
Support comes from Michael Heatley (Man’s fan club president) led band Funkee Clawed who offer classic blues rock with a twist
