Debbie Giles' Midnight Train began when Debbie met acclaimed drummer Sam Kelly at the Maryport Blues Festival, whilst performing with their own named bands and soon discovered their mutual love for blues. Having both appeared in musical theatre on the London Stage and felt they had so much in common it soon developed into a Band!
With influences from Bonnie Raitt to Little Feat, Etta James to Bill Withers, Steely Dan, James Brown and Keb Mo, Midnight Train is a mix of Funk, Soul, Blues and R & B creating an uplifting and dynamic set, which appeals to a wide range of audiences. Accompany Debs' smooth rich vocals are of course Sam Kelly, voted British Blues Connection "Drummer of the Year" for five years running, Steve Oakman a vibrant, creative keyboard player, on guitar the sensitive touch of Pete Emery and on steady funky bass Chris Belshaw.
