In 1999 Paul Roberts (of Stranglers fame) released his first solo album
Faith? which was also the birth of the Faithband.
They started touring in
2000 and released their second studio album Self Discovery in 2001.
In 2002 they played several gigs which initiated the Peoples'
Acoustic Faith Tour.
In autumn 2002 the band went on the road again for the Set In Stone Tour.
The third studio album The Pressure sensitive was released in 2003.

In 2004 the band decided to change their name to the Paul Roberts Band at
first, then to Electrascope and finally to Soulsec.
Andy Ellis joined the band on guitar, and the gigs at BoomBoom Sutton and Bulls Head Barnes feature Mike Scott/Waterboys piano wizard Richard Naiff.
