Rudy Rotta’s “Louisiana Winds” Tour Reaches Finchley
Rudy Rotta the American based, Italian born
guitarist brings his scintillating rock blues style to the WAF on Saturday the
12th of August.
After making it big in his home country, Rudy stormed across Europe like a hurricane
leaving Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, France, England and
Ireland in its wake. The reputation of this guitar killer soon reached the US
and it's been a continuous journey through the blues heartland of America ever
since.
His music is a hybrid of a scintillating guitar slinger, vocalist and composer.
Rudy subtly combines a modern rock blues style with a rocky funk soul undertow.
Rudy is now considered as one of the best blues musicians worldwide by the European
and American specialized press.
Since exploding on to the scene he has appeared at all the major US and Euro
festivals as well as the all star R&B Cruise in the Mediterranean with The
Fabulous Thunderbirds, Etta James, Taj Mahall, Marcia Ball and John Mayall,
who made a special request to sit with Rudy at one of his shows.
At the Kansas City Blues Festival he shared the limelight with Al Green, Taj
Mahal and Brian Setzer before an audience of 20,000 enthusiastic Kansas, as
well as B.B. King, The Allman Brothers, and Double Trouble.
Recent recording projects have included John Mayall and keyboard legend Brian
Auger and an appearance at the Monroe Jazz fest with BB King, Robben Ford.
