SALT REUNION
2011
Stevie Smith: vocals / harp
Mick Clarke: guitar
Stuart "Mac" McDonald: bass
Chris Sharley: drums

Back in the late 70’s SALT were the live circuit’s
darlings as they tore their way through all the leading London clubs of the
time, with Mick Clarke’s Freddie King inspired, fiery guitar playing &
featuring the combative Smith the band's charismatic front man and stellar harp
player. They played everywhere from Dingwalls, and The Marquee to their crowning
glory, playing with Thin Lizzy at the Reading Jazz & Blues Festival and
Muddy Waters in London – for which The Times gave them a glowing review!
But they never got a deal. They quit at the height of their popularity, only
to rise again, gaining more plaudits but still with no recording deal. Clarke
went to the US, Stevie to Bad Manners and Top of the Pops fame! Now three decade
on they relight the fire and finally have an album to release. Ladies &
Gentlemen SALT, the best Rocking Blues outfit the London circuit ever produced,
are back with an album and an overdue reunion!
