One of the stars of the Burnley Blues
Festival, Strom Warning play contemporary funky blues rock with a real
dynamic and virtuoso playing.
Storm Warning have made a name for themselves as the British equivalent
of Robben Ford. Their festival appearances in the summer of 2007 with
the likes of Devon Allman and Gary Moore, led to great reviews.
“England's five-piece Storm Warning brings a contemporary feel to
classic blues and blues-rock… Bob Moore's guitar work is tasteful.
Leader Son Maxwell sings like Billy Gibbons did 30 years ago." Blues
Review USA
Storm Warning play brilliant contemporary blues mixing funky blues and
rock with a little jazz and are gaining much critical acclaim with their
powerful live and dynamic set.
The band is fronted by vocalist Son Maxwell and his blazing blues harp.
Guitarist Bob 'Mad Dog' Moore is not content with playing just the standard
blues licks. He also plays inventive guitar solos to die for, harnessing
his Robben Ford influences. Ex Capability Brown and Krazy Kats drummer,
Roger Willis forms a formidable rhythm section with bass player Derek
White, and Ian Salisbury excels with boogie piano and exciting organ solos
“Promising debut; watch out for this
band they are well worth getting along to see” Storm
Warning EP CD review 8/10 Blues in Britain
“Good songs well put together
and which would go down a (WARNING) storm played live and in yer face.
Check out weather there’s a storm heading your way”
