Marc Bolan was the original psychedelic pixie. Championed by
DJ John Peel with Tyrannosaurus Rex, Mark became an international Glam Rock
star with T. Rex who enjoyed unsurpassed chart success with Ride A White Swan,
“Get It On”, “Jeepster”, “Metal Guru”, “20th
Century Boy”, “Hot Love” and “Solid Gold Easy Action”
etc…
T-Tex was originally born In September 1997, to commemorate the 20th year since
Marc Bolan's untimely death. T-Rex members Mickey Finn and Paul Fenton were
invited to make a special appearance on stage at a gig at the Cambridge Corn
Exchange. Mickey and Paul, overwhelmed by the support and affection they received
on that night, decided to reform T-Rex.
Their first show was at the Martin Schleyer Halle, Stuttgart in March 99 with
a tour of Japan shortly afterwards.
Sadly Mickey Finn died in January 2003 but thanks, to overwhelming public support,
the band have decided to carry on with the help of former Saxon guitar player
Graham Oliver, playing Marc Bolan's songs with the aim to continue bringing
Marc and Mickey's timeless music to generations of fans.
